Redpost Church update

In Luke 24 and Acts 1 we see the commission the church’s key assignment of what to do until the Lord returns. That is to take the truth of the person and work of our Lord Jesus to as many people as possible. We feel the best way to share the good news of the Gospel is through church planting. Redpost Church exists to take the Gospel to university students and to encourage them to be disciples of Jesus Christ and not merely followers.

We believe through Redpost Church plant we can bring about peace, restoration and renewal to the University of Cape Town through the power of the Gospel so that we can become a light that shines brightly and can become salt to the city. We seek to be a transcultural church in that we embrace and celebrate our African diversity expressed through language, context and cultural expression. We believe that to be a Christian does not mean that we cease to be African. Rather as Christians we believe our unity is characterized by our diversity.  This is because what unites us is not a homogeneous culture but our experience of Jesus.

Thank you, to everyone who has supported this initiative and church plant. We thank the Lord we have been able to secure a venue for our Sunday services. We have also been granted society status at UCT which is an answer to prayer.

How can you get involved?

Please pray with us for the church plant. Secondly, it’s not too late to be a part of the church plant. Please pray and consider joining us in taking the gospel of our Lord Jesus to people who are far away from him.
